According to Wikibon, NetApp ONTAP migration values are frequently marginal.
Wikibon is warning its clients that there is typically, at most, minimal benefit to moving their current databases to new stand-alone storage solutions. Oracle Corp. users of NetApp, Inc.'s ONTAP 7-Mode storage should carefully consider their migration alternatives before transferring their data to NetApp Clustered ONTAP, according to Wikibon CTO David Floyer.
