HOW, WITH ITS COGNITIVE CAPABILITIES, AI IS RESHAPING LIFE SCIENCES?

The tremendous force known as artificial intelligence (AI) is already changing our surroundings, relationships, and way of life. One way to characterize it would be as a program designed to replicate, and possibly even enhance, cognitive processes found in humans. Artificial Intelligence (AI) can take several forms: it can be algorithmic, like in game programs, or it might be control-theoretic, like in autonomous cars. It can also show itself as learning, creativity, language proficiency, spatial reasoning, and many other things. We are now aware that artificial intelligence (AI) has started to significantly impact the life sciences. Examples include using machine learning to make discoveries from massive biological data, combining genomic data from different sources with health records, finding new cell types or drug targets, developing new drugs, diagnosing conditions, or personalizing medical care.
